WOULD CRUISE SHIPS BE ANY BETTER FOR THE CITIZENS OF AUCKLAND THAN USED CARS AND UNRIPE BANANAS

If Queens Wharf becomes a cruise terminal then it will be waterfront space once again lost to the Auckland citizens who own it. Customs, Immigration and Tourist busses will just as effectively cut off the public access to the water as the Red Fence has done for a century. I suspect that cruise ships are a part of the Ports Of Auckland business so why should they make a profit from it (if they do) after selling it to us - who already owned it - for $40 million. None of this makes any sense and nor did the sham architectural competition.
