AN EMPTY QUEENS WHARF FILLED WITH FESTIVAL STRUCTURES

Now where have we heard that before. I'll put my hand up if nobody else does. (July 20 to be exact)Lets get used to using the waterfront we have been shut out of for a century before burying it under some mediocre fantasy or faux Maori folly. The competition was a dumb idea and while good on those who gave it a shot it was doomed to come up with the vague proposals it did. None of them filled any real need other than reifying political fantasy. Have party central in a tent or a festival of spiegeltents and then use Queens Wharf for farmer's markets for a couple of years.  Just have fun there of any kind and see what happens next.
