A BRIGHT IDEA FOR A SUNNY MORNING

If rail ever gets traction - and surely it must - here is a fine plan. Link Hamilton and Auckland by high speed commuter train. Not some museum rejected diesel gobbling old dunger but a genuine high speed train that zooms through  civilized countries. There is one than runs from Paris to Marseille in three hours - nit that we need anything on the scale of a TVG but the speed is not beyond us. Imagine the impact on both cities and the pressure off the infrastructure of Auckland. Don't grow the super city - join it up - intelligently join it up.

  2. Wont need that a fast train should not be longer than 15 minutes

  3. From my own experience of three years missionary service to art in Hamilton, I suspect the service would only need to be one way...

    Nice idea though.
